"Florence A. Stapel, 89, Nichols, passed away peacefully Saturday evening February 11, 2006, at a Green Bay hospital with her family at her side. The daughter of the late Adolf and Clara (Lindekugel) Luther was born March 29, 1916, in Clark County. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1935 and Teachers County Normal in Neillsville, Wis., in 1934.

She is survived by her husband Melvin Stapel, Nichols, 1 daughter Shirley Alexander, Green Bay; two grandchildren: Toni (David) Norton, De Pere; Vicki Fergusson, Green Bay; six stepchildren: Ralph (Betty) Stapel, Mark Stapel, Calvin (Janet) Stapel, Shirley (Pat) Kenney, Sharon Sigl, Ronald (Paula) Stapel, ten step grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter, and one sister, Jennette (Ray) Miller, Unity; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Maynard Pingel, sisters, Verna (August) Quandt and Adaline (Robert) Gropp.

Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, N9580 City Rd. X in Cicero Wednesday, February 15, 2005 after 9:00 A.M. until the time service. The funeral service will be Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. John was born Jan. 7, 1916, in Virginia, Minn., to Joseph and Catherine (Paun) Matonich. He married Eleanor Lindekugel on June 27, 1945, in Wisconsin Rapids. She died Aug. 28, 1981.

Survivors include his children, Jack (Kathleen) Matonich, Wisconsin Rapids, and Pamela (Bob Heeg) Harper, Wisconsin Rapids; grandson, James W. Harper III; great-granddaughter, Courtney Harper.

Pam is survived by son, James Webster "Jay" (Danielle) Harper III of Nekoosa; grandchildren, Rueben James Harper, Courtney Rose Harper, Cheyenne Rae Harper, and Dakota James Harper; brother, Jack (Kathleen) Matonich of Wisconsin Rapids; devoted companion, Tidal; special friend, Patricia Miller; and devoted pet, Winston.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Robert.

"Dale Oscar Lindekugel, 65, Loyal, died on Jan. 20, 1995, at the St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice care unit in Marshfield where he had been a patient for the past week.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal with the Rev. Joseph Kraly officiating. The grandchildren, Tara, Trish and Jared Loos, and Travis, Jason, Guy and Lacie Lindekugel will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Soloist will be Carol (Edblom) Duvall who served as flower girl at Dale and Janice’s marriage. Organist will be Dale's friend, Ron Gluch.

Visitation will be on Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal from 10 a.m. until time of services, and the family and friends will gather in fellowship following the service.

Dale was born on April 5, 1929 in the Town of Sherman, Loyal, on the home farm, son of Oscar and Alta (Stevens) Lindekugel. He and the former Janice Alexander were united in marriage on April 26, 1952, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.

Dale attended Taft Grade School and was a 1947 graduate of Loyal High School. Dale and Janice farmed on the home farm in the Town of Sherman until January of 1993 and later moved to Loyal. He was a heavy equipment operator, retiring in November of 1993. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed deer hunting with his family, and was known as an "all-around handyman" by friends and family.

Survivors include his wife Janice of Loyal; one son Jeffrey (Maureen) Lindekugel, Marshfield; one daughter Julie (Charles) Loos, Loyal; two sisters, Dona May (Eugene) Lucht, Spencer, and Arla (Earl) Krings Jr., Auburndale; seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial will be established in his name at a later date.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate and Bruce Jensema will be the organist for Steven Greunke as soloist and congregational singing. Burial will take place in Loyal Lutheran Cemetery, Loyal. Steven was born Dec. 3, 1956, in Marshfield, to Eugene E. and Dona May (Lindekugel) Lucht. He began his education at Spokeville School in the town of Sherman and continued at the Loyal Public School. In 1966, he moved to Spencer with his family and graduated from Spencer High School in 1975. He then attended Northcentral Technical College, where he earned a degree in computer programming. He was employed at Figi's and later in 1992 at Donnelley Marketing until the present time. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was very close to his family and friends and co-workers.

He is survived by his parents Eugene and Dona May Lucht of Spencer; and two brothers, Michael (Luane) Lucht and Mark (Susanne) Lucht, all of Spencer. He is further survived by a niece, Kami (Brian) Haffenbredl of Arpin; and two nephews, Mathew and Jake Lucht of Spencer.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Arthur and Lena Lucht and Oscar and Alta Lindekugel.

Memorials may be designated in his name to Christ Lutheran Church.

On Sept. 29, 1956, the former Arla Lindekugel was united in holy marriage to Earl O. Krings. The couple farmed in the town of Green Valley from 1976 to 1998. In addition to being a homemaker, mother and farm wife, Arla also worked outside the home. She worked at the Marshfield Clinic, Northern Auto and Heinzen Printing Company.

Arla was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marshfield TOPS Club and founder of the Kountry Kids 4-H in Auburndale. In her free time, she traveled extensively and enjoyed crafts and fishing.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Earl Krings, Marshfield; daughter, Sue (James) Nelson, Marshfield; and son, Paul (Karen) Krings, Auburndale; and three grandchildren, Jena Nelson, Forrest and Elizabeth Krings. A sister, Donna Mae (Eugene) Lucht, Spencer; mother-in-law, Margaret Krings, Marshfield; and a sister-in-law, Janice Niemi, Loyal, further survive Arla.

One brother, Dale Lindekugel, and her parents preceded her in death."

Age 80, of Auburndale, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Marshfield. Care for Earl and his family was provided by Heartland Hospice of Stevens Point.

His Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Auburndale. The Rev. Mark Lundgren will officiate. Military rites will be conducted following the service. A private committal service will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service at the church in Auburndale.

Earl was born May 22, 1935 the son of Earl and Margaret (Schultz) Krings Sr. He and his family resided in Auburndale later graduating from Auburndale High School. Earl was united in marriage to Arla Lindekugel on September 29, 1956 at St. John Lutheran Church in Auburndale. Sadly Arla passed away on May 25, 2005. Earl proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp., stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was an excellent marksman and was given several awards for his sharp shooting while in the Marines. Upon his honorable discharge he returned home to take over the family farm in the Town of Green Valley, Marathon County. He also served as the town of Green Valley chairman for 15 plus years.

His hobbies included fishing especially in Canada, hunting, reading history books, playing cards and dancing. Earl enjoyed mechanic work and did a lot of custom work for his neighbors. He loved to laugh and enjoyed teasing his grandchildren. Earl was a member of St. John Lutheran church in Auburndale.

He is survived by his two children Sue (James) Nelson of Marshfield and Paul (Karen) Krings of Auburndale; his sister Margaret (David) Lingford of Auburndale. He is further survived by three grandchildren Jena (Beau) Serchen of Lake Mills and Elizabeth and Forrest Krings of Auburndale; his great-grandchild Bryant Serchen; sister-in-laws Donna (Eugune) Lucht and Janice (Allan) Niemi and his special friend Noreen Zellner, along with many other relatives and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Margaret, his wife Arla, nephew Steve Lucht and brother-in-law Dale Lindekugel.

Wallace A. Nitzke “Wally” Poy Sippi, Wisconsin Wallace A. Nitzke, age 90, of Poy Sippi, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Preston Place in Red Granite. He was born on October 10, 1917, the son of the late Herman and Augusta (Bowe) Nitzke. On May 4, 1936, Wally married Alice Lindekugel at Evangelical Church in Berlin. She preceded him in death on December 28, 1985. Wally married Gladys Schrei on October 1, 1989 and she later preceded him in death on August 24, 2004. Wally farmed in West Bloomfield for many years before retiring. He also worked as a carpenter and stone mason. After retiring, Wally moved to Poy Sippi, where he lived along the river for 35 years. For the last 2 years he has resided at Preston Place in Red Granite. Wally was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield, where he served as a former chairman of the congregation and in various other church offices. He was a charter member of the Poy Sippi Betterment Foundation and the West Bloomfield Fire Department, and was also a member of the Poy Sippi Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Wally always lent a helping hand to anyone in need, and will be remembered as a special grandpa to all of his grandchildren. Wally is survived by 2 sons, Stuart (Tootie), Borth, Harris (Carol), Fremont, a daughter, Joanne Brinkman, Pine River, 3 step-sons, Bob, Mike and Tom Schrei, 7 grandchildren, Jonna Rae Brinkman, Samuel (Ruth) Brinkman, Benjamin (Tammy) Brinkman, Lisa(Paul) Grutzmacher, Frank (Lori) Nitzke, Joel (Tina) Nitzke and Jami (Mark) Carlovsky, 10 great-grandchildren, Aaron, Amber and Lucas Grutzmacher, Katelyn, McKala and Joshua Nitzke, Ryan and Justine Nitzke, Elliot and Allysen Carlovsky, 3 sisters, Evelyn Heise, Omro, Aves Chier, Borth, Jeannette Gebauer, Winneconne, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Edna married Loren Rickert on March 19, 1941 in Berlin, WI. Loren preceded her in death on December 29, 1989 after 48 years of marriage.

Edna was a lifelong resident of Waushara County. She enjoyed Home Arts Homemaker's, crossword puzzles, gardening, bus tours, crocheting, and writing poems for her grandchildren. She was a life long member of the Poy Sippi United Methodist Church where she dedicated her time as a Sunday School Teacher and church treasurer.

She is survived by Sons: Donald (Judy) Rickert, Pine River, WI; David (Janet) Rickert, Pine River, WI. "Mrs. Esther Verna Snell (nee Lindekugel), age 94 of rural Berlin, died peacefully early Friday morning, September 12, 2008 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital. Esther was born April 28, 1914 on the Family Farm in the Town of Leon, Waushara County, the daughter of Edmund and Jessie Hanson Lindekugel. She married Alfred Edward Snell March 27, 1940 in the Methodist Parsonage in Berlin.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Esther V. Snell will be held Tuesday, September 16th. at 11 a.m. at the Ruminski Funeral Home in Redgranite. The Rev. George Groves, Pastor of the Poy Sippi United Methodist Church will officiate. (Mrs. Snell's Funeral will be held at the Ruminski Funeral Home due to the ongoing construction project at the Church.) Burial will be in the Poy Sippi Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ruminski Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday only until the time of Services.
